What is air resistance?

Objective: Explain how air resistance affects falling objects.

TechTerms:
Air resistance: force that opposes the movement of an object in air
Terminal velocity: speed at which air resistance and gravity acting on a falling object are equal
Vacuum: empty space


Anticipatory set: video and ask them what they know about air resistance.

Instructions:
1. View video and ask questions on what was seen about air resistance.
2. Do experiment- what falls faster? Split into 4 groups, each given 3 objects to test.
3. Write 2- to 3 sentences on what was learned about air resistance.
4. Tell about Vacuum. (see tech terms)
5. Do questions.
